🛳 Itinerary

🇵🇹 Day 1 — Lisbon, Portugal

Your journey begins in one of Europe’s most captivating capitals. Built across rolling hills overlooking the Tagus River, Lisbon is full of colourful streets, historic trams, impressive viewpoints, and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. If you can, arrive a day early — the city easily deserves it.

  • 🌅 Panoramic viewpoints across the rooftops
  • 🥮 Fresh pastéis de nata in Belém
  • Jerónimos Monastery & Belém Tower

🌊 Day 2 — At sea

A full day to enjoy the ship before the port stops begin.

🇪🇸 Day 3 — Alicante, Spain

With its palm-lined promenade, golden beach, and hilltop castle, Alicante is one of Spain’s most enjoyable coastal cities. It’s compact enough to explore on foot while still offering plenty of opportunities to relax by the sea.

Highlights:

  • 🏰 Santa Bárbara Castle
  • 🏖️ Postiguet Beach
  • 🌴 Explanada de España promenade
  • 🍷 Tapas bars and seafood restaurants
  • 🏛️ The colourful Old Town

🚢 Cheap MSC World Europa cruise: Genoa, Rome, La Spezia & Marseille from just €275 p.p.

msc-world.png

For a cruise on one of the most modern ships, this is a very smart deal: comfortable sightseeing weather, an easy Mediterranean route, and a balcony cabin upgrade that is almost too cheap to ignore.

 About MSC World Europa

The ship is a huge part of the deal here. MSC World Europa is one of MSC’s most modern and impressive ships — big, futuristic and made for travellers who want the ship itself to feel like a floating resort.

msc2.png

On board, you get a lively big-ship atmosphere: restaurants, bars, entertainment, pools, lounges, shops, family areas, spa, gym and plenty of spaces to enjoy the sea even on a short route.

One of the signature spots is the World Promenade, an open-air social area with ocean views, bars and the famous Venom Drop @ The Spiral — the dramatic dry slide that has become one of the ship’s most recognisable features.

Itinerary:

🇮🇹 Day 1 — Genoa, Italy

Start the cruise in Genoa, one of Italy’s most underrated port cities. Come earlier if you can: the old town, Porto Antico, palaces, focaccia, cafés and Ligurian atmosphere make it a great pre-cruise stop.

🇮🇹 Day 2 — Civitavecchia / Rome, Italy

A full day for Rome. From Civitavecchia, you can head into the city and see the classics: Colosseum, Roman Forum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Piazza Navona or the Vatican area.

It’s a busy port day, but very rewarding — especially in November, when Rome is much easier to explore than in peak summer heat.

🇮🇹 Day 3 — La Spezia, Italy

La Spezia is the gateway to one of the most beautiful parts of the Italian coast. You can use this stop for Cinque Terre, Portovenere, Pisa or a relaxed Ligurian day by the sea.

Cinque Terre is the classic choice: colourful cliffside villages, train-hopping, sea views and that postcard Italian coastline.

🇫🇷 Day 4 — Marseille, France

The cruise finishes in Marseille, so it’s worth adding a little time here if flights allow. Explore the Vieux-Port, Le Panier, Notre-Dame de la Garde, seaside cafés or continue by train to other parts of southern France.

 Cruise€275 per person

Cruise from Genoa >>

Note:

This is one of those cruise deals where the cabin pricing almost doesn’t make sense: outside cabin from €275 pp, while a balcony cabin is only €285 pp. Yes — the difference is just €10 per person, which is ridiculous for a balcony upgrade!

Route

🇮🇹 Day 1 — Civitavecchia / Rome, Italy

The cruise starts from Civitavecchia, Rome’s main cruise port. Arrive earlier if you can and spend a few hours in Rome before boarding: the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Spanish Steps or the Vatican area.

🇮🇹 Day 2 — Genoa, Italy

Genoa is one of Italy’s most underrated port cities: grand palaces, narrow old-town streets, harbour views, focaccia, pesto and a strong Ligurian atmosphere. It’s a great stop for slow wandering, coffee breaks and a proper Italian port-city mood.

🇮🇹 Day 3 — Livorno / Florence / Pisa, Italy

This is the Tuscany stop. You can keep it easy with Pisa, go bigger with a day trip to Florence, or stay closer to the coast around Livorno. Florence is the most impressive option if you don’t mind a longer excursion: Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, Uffizi area and beautiful Renaissance streets.

🇫🇷 Day 4 — Marseille, France

Marseille adds a different Mediterranean flavour: French, sunny, urban and full of character. Explore the Vieux-Port, walk through Le Panier, visit Notre-Dame de la Garde for the best views, or enjoy seafood and cafés by the harbour.

🇪🇸 Day 5 — Barcelona, Spain

The cruise finishes in Barcelona, which is perfect if you can add an extra night or two. Sagrada Família, Gothic Quarter, Passeig de Gràcia, tapas, markets and the waterfront make it one of the easiest cities in Europe to extend a cruise.

Travel dates:
